What Soundscaypr is

Soundscaypr is a personal audio library: you record or upload ambient sounds, and play them back through the Soundscaypr web app, mobile app, or Alexa skill.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address and password, managed by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Your content — the audio recordings, photos, titles, dates, tags, and optional location data you choose to save. It is stored privately in Google Cloud and is visible only to your account.
• Playback state — when you use the Alexa skill, the current sound and playback position are stored so playback can resume.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, share, or advertise with your data.
• We do not make your recordings public. Sharing happens only when you explicitly create an expiring share link.
• The Alexa skill receives only what it needs: a token identifying your linked account, and your voice requests as interpreted by Amazon. Amazon's handling of your voice data is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy.

Account linking (Alexa)

Linking your Soundscaypr account to Alexa creates an access token that lets the skill list and play the sounds in your library. You can unlink at any time in the Alexa app, which invalidates the skill's access.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual sounds at any time, or delete your entire account (Settings → Delete Account in the mobile app, or Account settings on the web), which permanently removes your recordings, photos, and metadata.
